Goals and Strategies
By participating in both Cambridge and Harvard Model United Nations, the delegation of UUMUN has set itself the following goals:
Realization and involvement
By taking part in UUMUN, students develop more insight in international problems and enquiries. This insight is being created by taking part in the various trainings that are given througout the UUMUN year, and their preparation. Obvously, the participation in the MUN conferences also add to this.
Additionally, UUMUN fulfills a social role. By inspiring and educating other students and members of society, UUMUN hopes to create a similar relazation and involvement in people outside of UUMUN.
Professional and personal development
Members of UUMUN have been chosen on the basis of their social, intellectual and professional capabilities. By taking part in the UUMUN training sessions, professional and personal skills are further developed. The work done inside the committees and the social work taken on by UUMUN also adds to this development.
International and multidisciplinary cooperation between students
The members of the UUMUN delegation come from a diverse disciplinary background. This diversity creates a large range of viewpoints and solutions that can be used to fortify the content of the team. By learning from eachother, a more solid basis is created to work from at the MUN conferences.
Additionally, it is very important for UUMUN to keep in contact with other (international) MUN delegations, both during and around the actual conferences.
